Richard and Monica Chapin


Richard Chapin, co-founder of Interstellar Light Applications, is a graduate of the University of Arizona.

A successful entrepreneur with a penchant for invention, in 1984 Richard created Sci-Expo a traveling interactive science museum. In 2004 a friend dying of pancreatic cancer led Richard into an intense exploration of full-spectrum light therapy and to the creation of the Interstellar Light Collector, and eventually to a portable Moonlight Collector.

Monica is co-founder of Interstellar Light Applications.

The company is known for its “Interstellar Moonlight Collector’. After attending Hunter College in NYC Monica moved to Seattle in 1973 where she co-founded a 450 people alternative, organic farming community. In 1984 she moved to Tucson met Richard and they have been married and working together for over 31 years.
